  1. Hi I am in the market for a good trainer abd based on reviews and comments I've seen online my
choices are down to: Kinetic Standard Trainer $300 kurtkinetic.comkurtkinetic.com CycleOps Fluid2 $300
    graberproducts.comgraberproducts.com TravelTrac™ Century Fluid Plus Trainer $180
    performancebike.comperformancebike.com

Can any one give me feedback on these trainers? What's your experience with them? Thanks

  2. Check ebay. I bought one there - real cheap.

    cheers

  4. How long have you have it? How much are you using it? Any cons?

Got it last Christmas. Used it pretty much December thru May. I'm estimating I put on an average of
5-7 hrs a week during that period. Probably a total of around 100-125 hrs. Havent used it much
during the summer. Nothing beats a real ride!

Pro's - Quite , easy to watch tv from across the room at a moderate volume. Fairly realistic road
feel and increased resistance with gear change Doesn't get REAL hot like some otehr s I've heard of,
but does get hot to the touch. Very stable and solidly built Easy to get bike in out, adjust etc.

Cons. - Has lag time before warms up and then resitance increases. What happens is after 10-15
minutes of cyling the resistance increases slightly without changing gears or RPM. I think this
happens because of fluid/part expansion. Not a big deal unless you are trying to do a test or
specific gear workout. As with all resistance trainers, this thing eats tires. plan on one tire a
year at least. Mine occasional gets a little louder than other times but even at it's loudest it not
nearly as loud as some of the otehrs I've heard. Other than that I've had no problems with mine.
