Your unit is working exactly the way it's supposed to. The 6500 unit had significantly shorter
battery life, *especially* when used with the wireless transmitter option. My guess is that the more-
aggressive power saving function fixed that.

Nope, your Flight Deck 6501 is operating as designed. The "new and improved" battery saver mode is
designed to prevent the "unintentional" starting of the computer when just casually moving the bike.
Hmmmm, sounds like overkill, eh?

back to the original question, it's design feature... so you can choose which bike the flightdeck is
mounted on at the time, as it supports 4 bikes...
