  1. I have a bike with a pre 2000 Sti levers, my guess St-6500. The right lever had two buttons and worked quite well with the Sc-6500 Flight Deck. Sadly the right lever needed replacing, and I did so replacing it with a ST 6501. Everything installed just find, but the Flight Deck fails to recognize the gears at all.

I guess the question is what is compatibly and what is not. I think from what I have research that I can go to a one botton on the right and left shifter and that this will work with my Sc-6500. Not sure about any of this, so if anyone has the inside nformation of which hoods, and which computers will work please let me know.

Also if the wiring harness has to be changed then I would consider a wireless setup.

    thanks,
    jmickler
