The past couple of rides, my wife has come home with the front tire flat. Today will be the 4th tube in 4 rides. Changed the rim tape to cloth, didn't work, any suggestions? Its starting to get get annoying. 😠

Carefully check the tire for a peice of glass or metal imbedded in the rubber inside. This accounts for 90% of repeat flats like you are describing. Also carefully check the rim for any slivers of metal that my be sticking up, especially around the valve hole.

Do check the tyre
But is the tyre OK - I mean is it worn out beyond reasonable use?

the tire was brand new, maybe 100 miles on it. the first flat was the plastic rim tape, second one i think i pinched the tube with the tire levers, and the third ?????? not a clue, the tube had a big hole, blow out hole, and the bead was shreaded. bought a new tire, a seco with kevlar for less flats, so they say, we'll find out soon enough.

A big hole sounds like the tube was pinched again, or possibly twisted in the tire. Had a mountain bike innertube explode because it was twisted. It sounded like a firecracker. Funny thing about it was that I had just inflated it to the value listed on the tire sidewall and had set it aside to fork on the front tire. It sat for a good 15 minutes before it blew.😕
