Do you have more of a chance at getting a flat if your Tyres are pumped up
at max, or will you get flats more easy at lower pressure's ?

punctures; that's when you go over a bump and the shock causes the tire
to momentarily compress completely thus trapping the inner tube between
the rim and the bump.Other than that I don't know if there's much difference between say 100
or 120.

It has been recommended to me to keep my 120 lb max tires at 100 lbs
pressure. The theory is that is a good compromise - no pinch flats and no
over pressure.Doug Thomas

It would be useful for BenG (inquiry re tyre pressure) and Cuz (Flat
tyres) to read Sheldon Brown's opinion on correct pressures rather than
simply reading a 'max' figure off the sidewall.
http://www.sheldonbrown.com/tires.html#pressure
If everybody was supposed to have the same pressure regardless of the
combined weight of rider and bike, then the manufacturer would put a
'correct pressure' instead of a 'max pressure' on the sidewall.
YMMV,
Darryl
