i've fallen in love with the fizik arione bianchi/liquigas team replica saddle and want to make it mine - but i'm a girl and am worried it might not be super comfy. i currently ride a selle italia SLR - a men's saddle - and am pretty happy with it but shredded it in a crash. any female experience with the arione? thanks.

I collect used female bicycle seats. To me they are like a fine aged wine. If it doesn't work out send it to me.

If you like the SLR my guess is that you'll be fine with the Arionne as well--its longer and flatter than the SLR from what I've heard (I never used the SLR, but I switched to the Arionne from the Flite). Its a pretty comfortable seat, IMO.

I have a couple of ariones on my bikes and so do some of my friends, and there are no complaints...A quality saddle

Comfort all depends on the width of your sitzbones vs the width of the saddle. The Arione is a good quality saddle, but it's pretty much standard-width for italian racing saddles. Unless you have a very small frame, it may not be wide enough for you.Believe you'd be more comfortable with a femme-specific saddle which is a couple cm's wider than the Arione. Several woman here have Terry Butterflys and like them. Also, Specialized dealers now have a memory foam pad you sit on to get your measurement, and saddles in a choice of widths. That might be another good way to go.
