Just a solo-training ride that I did today. Pardon the wasted bandwidth. I'm just so proud of myself I have to tell someone.
102.45 miles, 7800 feet of climbing (just the major hills, not every bump in the road), in 8:27:06.
I have a 42/22 gearing so I don't ride real fast. I have been riding a fixed gear for about a month. I'm still a rookie. I haven't yet gotten used to going down some of these long steep descents. I ride the brakes a lot.
For those of you in the San Diego area I rode the San Diego Bicycle Club's Great Western Loop. That loop in 42 miles, plus the distance to and from my house makes 51.2 miles. I did it twice.
