  1. Dear all,

It is with regret I report the death of a rider and serious injury of
another during their decent from Fitz's Hill during the Fitz's Challenge
    last Sunday.

    Fitz's Challenge

Fitz's Challenge was held last Sunday and attracted a
record 546 entrants. Unfortunately and tragically two riders, Paul Harty
and Matt Huxtable, were seriously injured on the descent of Fitz's Hill
and were taken to hospital. Paul Harty subsequently died.

On behalf of all the volunteers who organised the Fitz's
Challenge event, all the riders in the event and anybody who loves
cycling we express our deepest sympathy to Paul's family and friends. We
express our deepest wishes for a speedy recovery for Matt.
