Fitting question

at my LBS, we use the "fit kit" system where we take a few measurements of u, (inseam, torso length, thigh length, etc.) and then fit several brands to your body according to their geometry. I was just curious if there were other LBS doing that and if not, how they did their fitting. Thanks... Mike
