I notice that the prices for fish oil on the Internet tend to be ridiculous. Dr. Sears sells it for something like $7.00 per fluid ounce. This is completely absurd, despite how good fish oil is for one. This is actually more expensive than silver per ounce. I buy Carlson's at my local discount natural food store for $1.485 per ounce.
I am really up against it financially this week, and I don't want to put out money for ANYTHING. So, I noticed that I have cans of Pacific Salmon in my pantry. These cans of salmon are very oily. So oily that one might think of squeezing the oil out and throwing it away. NO!!! What do you think fish oil is? Squeeze the oil out and drink it, according to how much you would normally take, and save the rest. Then, of course, eat the salmon. Eating canned salmon without squeezing out the oil is not very appealling. I treat it just like tuna, which I believe is also an oily, cold water fish. I add mayo to the salmon and eat it prepared just like tuna.
Taking fish oil this way may not be as pure as Dr. Sears or Carlson's, but it will work for several days. I bet that there are several days worth of fish oil in every can.

The oil in a salmon or tuna can is not fish oil. The product is packed in vegetable oil. Read the label.

I guess we have different salmon cans. Mine says nothing about vegetable oil. Furthermore, the company, who I asked via email, said that there was 1 gram of Omega-3 oil for every 63 grams of product.
