  1. Fish Oil is the closest thing that I have ever studied or tried to a
panacea (panecea sp?). I don't sell it. I don't know anyone who does
sell it. I have no axe to grind whatsoever other than to share with
people how beneficial fish oil it.

Cod Liver Oil is not so great if you want to take enough fish oil to
get some of the major benefits, because cod liver oil has too much
    Vitamin A and Vitamin D.

Fish oil is responsible for making the numbness go away in my right
hand after sleeping on my right shoulder. It is responsible for
making my tendency for depression go away (depression in the face of
setbacks, rather than endurance and courage in the face of setbacks).
Fish oil is responsible for my exercise resistance evaporating
(exercise resistance is a symptom of metabolic syndrome). Fish oil is
responsible for a great improvement in my libido. Fish oil is
responsible for needing less sleep (down to 8 hours from 10 hours).

I did get a huge battery of blood tests before starting the fish oil,
so I will be able to report to you the changes in the near future in
    my blood profile.

This site has what seems like endless and very readable studies
extolling the benefits of fish oil:

    http://www.oilofpisces.com/

Every human body need fish oil, either by eating oily fish or taking
fish oil. Each person will be different in their needs: Some people
will do great with one tablespoonful of fish oil; other will need as
much as 3 or more tablespoonfuls. Depression is best handled with 3
or more tablespoonfuls. There is a tiny bit of diarreha (sp?) when
you first start taking it as the body starts putting out more of the
enzyme to digest it. Don't worry. That will go away. Study, learn,
    and try it.

  2. Fish oil is mainly responsible for your placebo also.

if placebos worked so well. I have used the placebo effect in the
past, as in self-hypnosis, affirmations, etc., and they just didn't
work as well as fish oil. And then there are the thousands of people
who have benefitted by the placebo of fish oil, particularly those in
placebo controlled, double blind studies. It is amazing how that
naughty placebo effect can cross over the barrier of the double blind
studies. Perhaps we should move on to triple blind studies; perhaps
that would keep out that naughty placebo effect.

And when I get my second battery of blood tests in a few months, it
will be a shame that that naughty placebo effect will ruin the good
results and I will just have to go back to kissing the rearends of the
Medical/Pharmaceutical complex and stop going to doctors who can
see/think beyond their next golf game. I will be forced to declare
defeat and just stop thinking for myself, stop thinking deeply, and
just worship the MDs who want to prescribe numerous drugs to cover up
numerous symptoms that all have the same cause: Not enough Omega-3 in
    our diets.

  4. Noooo.. Placebo is a completely natural cure for many ailments.
