  1. I've now got a part-time job at the local supermarket, so Atalanta, my
Dawes Horizon has been called out of retirement for commuting purposes,
as I'm wary of leaving my trike locked up outside the place for hours on
    end.

On the plus side, I think I made the journey a tad faster. On the minus
side - ow, ow, ow, ow, OW!

Second day of upright commuting. Got on the bike this morning and
seriously considered getting right back off again, owing to severe
discomfort of the undercarriage. But I persevered, and things got a bit
better after a couple of miles.

On the way home it wasn't too bad at all, except that my secondary front
light had failed (must've got switched on in the pannier I think). I was
surprised by how much light there was on most of my route home actually.
I always thought of it as being mostly rural and dark, but there were
quite a few places with strong lighting.

The snowdrops and winter aconites are out on the road past the golf
course, and I saw a squirrel yesterday, but my bum hurts....
