I have been riding a hybrid for the past few months (once a week for about 30-40 miles) with no pain, I just started riding a road bike for the first time and in my first ride (40 miles) I had arm, hand and neck pain also I was far more fatigued than I usually am. Yes I had the bike sized for me at the bike shop when I bought it. Now I do realize that I need to hold my self up by my core and not my arms and hands. So is this just a matter of building my core? What exercises can I do to get my core stronger or is there some other techniques along with that that I can do to get rid of the pain.
