First Time Building Wheels Advice :)

i pretty much followed it and have two wheels built.

Go for it! A very satisfying project, especially when you're wheel are
running perfectly true after a couple of years.

Make sure you get your spokes cut perfectly. Then you can use the visible
thread as an indicator of tension.

Take your time. Check your work carefully after every step.

Jobst Brandt's book "The Bicycle Wheel" has been more or less the definitive
text for a few decades. Get a copy, read as much of the technical
explanations as you can stand, and use the step by step instructions to
build a wheel. I've built a couple dozen wheels in the 20+ years that I've
owned the book and gotten good results every time.
