well i am on the baylor cycling team and on feb is my first race. i am training right now. but my question is the track is a mix of pavement and also hard packed dirt and if it rains mud and all this is on skinny slicks. um what should i know about this and also afterward how to clean the dust and [censored] off my bike. if this is in the wrong spot i am sorry i am new here.

If it rains take about 10-12 PSI out of your Tires so that they can adhere to the surface of the road better. While you are on the packed dirt section don't lean as tight into the turns as you would on the road. If your tires start sliding out through a turn don't lock the brakes instead keep pedaling and steer into the skid.
I have a Trek 1500, what bike do you have?
