Hi,
this is my first post. I've been riding my Uncle's Mariner hybrid for the past two months for working out and commuting. I'm riding give or take 400 miles a month. In the past I've been a swimmer and runner, so now that I'm getting into biking, doing triathlons makes a lot of sense. I'm not ready to do iron mans yet, but i'm looking to doing quick rides at about 10 miles to long stuff, probably 40-50 miles at a time. I've done a lot of research, and I want shimano 105's for sure. I found a bianchi via nirone with 105's for 1000 on craigslist, along with a trek 1500 for $750. What do you guys think? Any other bikes I should look at it?
Thanks

Ride as many different brands and models as you can in that price range to see which is the most appealing to you.
It sounds like you aren't adverse to buying a used bike. That's great...you can get a lot more bike for your buck that way.

If you haven't been fitted, I suggest that you get a fitting done so that you know what size bike to look for if you are going to buy used.
