I have been riding a Rocky mountain hybrid for 3 years now and want to move to a proper road bike.
Budget is $750-900 (ballpark)
I have been looking at a Jamis Ventura, can anyone give me some other recommendations?
I am 5'7" around 165 lbs and need to have a slightly upright posture riding due to a minor neck problem.

All of the major brands have bikes that will fullfil your requirements. All you need to do is visit your local bike shops and see what they have to offer, take some test rides, and see which one you like best.
