in one pannier, work clothes + overalls in the other.Very enjoyable ride on the way in to work, took around 15 minutes to
travel the 3.4 miles, although there was no wind. Made it up the short
steep hill near work without stopping to push, although I did drop down to
the granny gear.Return journey was even better, downhill all the way, then a stretch of
flat A class road, then home!I am debating whether to fit my spare Mountain Mirrycle rear view mirror
(I had one on the old bike) It would at least let me see what's going on
behind (not instead of looking over my shoulder)I'll definitely be treating myself to a pair of semi slick tyres - should
make the commute even better - Possibly a pair of Schwalbe Marathon XC?Still an enjoyable first commute, however I think I'll take a rest
tomorrow and drive into work, so I'll be fresh for cycling on Wednesday.
Great news, Brian. Glad you're enjoying it.
I'd definitely recommend Schwalbe Marathons. I have a pair and love
them.
