I will be flying into the FLR (Firenze) Airport with a group of about 7 people, and each of us will be bringing our bicycles in hard-covered cases. We are trying to determine the best method of getting ourselves and excessive luggage to our rented Villa, which is about 20K south of Siena and about 100K from the FLR Airport. I am considering hiring a private shuttle van and driver. Does anyone have experience with this type of ground transport from FLR? Or - does anyone have another suggestion? (Train from FLR Airport to Siena and taxis?).

With 7 people splitting the bill, I'd consider hiring local transport. Trains are ok, but if you've got a lot of luggage it's just more hassle. My guess for the cost to hire a van with driver would be around 100 euro.
