Whole grains are still deficient of vitamins C, D and A.
They are infinitely better than refined carbs but still do
not quite cut it as the so-called "staff of life". Like
Elvis and J-Lo, grains are highly over-rated.

  3. See, this is why I don't understand your point of view TC,
one post you're all about how great animal fat is, then
you'll agree that it's refined grains that are the problem
and whole grains are good, then you come back and say whole
grains are deficient in blah blah blah. You do realize that
people don't just eat one food right? Eating whole grains,
whole fruits and vegetables, meats and fish, IN COMBINATION
is going to prove to be the healthiest food pattern both for
prevention of disease and weight maintenance. I'm willing to
bet on it. Why are you such an extremist all the time??? Why
are you so unwilling to admit that eating brown rice is
    HEALTHY????

    I'm so confused... Lisa

  4. Fresh animal fats from healthy, well-fed, animals are
necessary for good health. Man-manufactured vegetable fats
are still not proven to be optimum for good health. Fresh
fish oils are excellent. Pork fat rules.

Brown rice and whole grains are not all that bad. The
problem is when they, or their refined versions especially,
become a *staple*. Then they displace other wholefoods that
contain more vitamins and a greater variety of vitamins. If
you are lucky enough to not have allergy-related problems
with gluten then whole wheat, in smaller amounts, in the
diet is OK. Massive amounts of grains in the diet is not
conducive to optimum health. They do not contain any
    vitamins C, A or B12.

When you consider that grains has become 75% of what
humanity eats, it is kinda obvious why there is such
    nutritional and health deficiencies.
