Fenders

I'm looking for a set of fenders for my Vision M40. It's a 20/26. On my
hybrid, I bought some Planet Bike ones and they've lasted a couple
years. The only ones I've seen for the Vision are $50. I seem to
remember paying $25 for the hybrid fenders. Anyone know of decent priced
fenders that come 26/20"? Thanks in advance.

BTW, I found out today, in the rain, that fenders are not optional
equipment on a recumbent. On my hybrid, I got fenders mainly for trail
dust with an added bonus in the rain. On the recumbent, well in the 38
degree rain they're really needed.

Chuck,

You can purchase individual Planet Bike Freddy Fenders via Hostel
Shoppe (http://www.hostelshoppe.com), in sizes ranging from 16" to
700c. A set of fenders in 20" and 26" will cost you $33 USD, plus
shipping of course.

HTH,

By chance, I drove past the LBS and he was open (for Christmas orders).
He said he could get them. I don't mind paying a few dollars extra from
him. He loans me tools and gives advice. Unfortunately for him, I traded
some work for this recumbent and I won't be buying a new bike from him
this spring.
