This comment was made on another AltMed board (using thiose same words) I guess as a blight on character against that terrible agency because a former prescription drug for heartburn is now available over-the-counter.
I'm not sure if & why the FDA actually did something Bad, but did get me curious as to how this happens. I understand drugs can go off patent to generic, but what is the protocol for going from prescription staight to over-the-counter & how often does that happen & under what circumstance(s)?
