  1. This comment was made on another AltMed board (using thiose same words)
    I guess as a blight on character against that terrible agency because a
    former prescription drug for heartburn is now available
    over-the-counter.

    I'm not sure if & why the FDA actually did something Bad, but did get me
    curious as to how this happens. I understand drugs can go off patent to
    generic, but what is the protocol for going from prescription staight to
    over-the-counter & how often does that happen & under what
    circumstance(s)?
