  1. I've started cycling about a month and a half ago and have done around 400 miles with my cousin as a riding partner. I find once I reach a little over the hour mark I lose drive power from my hips. Is this a result of full leg muscle fatigue or a faulty hip? I also ask that in connection with my feeling that my right leg is doing more pumping than my left. It seems to feel tighter and feels as it if it has gotten more of a muscle tear than my left leg after a ride. Could this be seating position? I do try to make a concious effort to smoothly pedal on both sides

  2. I would look at shoes, cleats, seat tilt, crank length. In other words it could one or several things.
If you have anyone that can help you in person,as in a bike shop or experienced cyclist,I would suggest you get them to help.
It could be a simple as moving your cleat.

  3. Spin. Learning a good pedalstroke with a lot of high cadence work will help. Are you spinning at 90 or 100+ now?

  4. No idea on the cadence. Though I am aware spinning a large gear slow is bad for you. I typically have it in a gear that has just a tad of tension that allows an easy spin. I just have a basic computer rigged up.
