Nonsense. Utter nonsense from a complete moron.
Maybe "never" was a bad word, but when he's at a BBQ, the only one eating a burger without a bun, he's going to stand out and draw attention. He's not going to try grandma's potato or macaroni salad either. In a restaraurant he'll be making lots of substitution to his order. When everyone is eating donuts, muffins and bagels and he's got an egg & cheese without the english muffin, he's going to look different.
Even as a moron I have no problem spotting the Low Carb dieters at work, restaraunts and parties. Obviosly I'm not the only because he's complaining about peer pressure in his original post.
It doesn't matter in the least what plan you pick, peer pressure to go off of it will never EVER stop. It is a standard feature of the human universe.
Either you can let that defeat you and enjoy being fat, or you can decide to fight the battle.
Low carb turns cravings off completely for very many people. Until they succumb to peer pressure and eat addictive foods that turn the cravings right back on. Atkins is a process that teaches you exactly what foods trigger cravings so you know what to avoid. You can use that knowledge to resist trigger foods forever and beat peer pressure, or you can use that knowledge to know what you're getting yourself into, or you can fail to learn that knowledge and the food world will be a minefield for you. It's all decisions. And none of it is easy.

LOL, bingo on that Queen.
I strive to be different, and look different. Who the hell wants to just blend in?
So what if I look different and spotted out in resturants. I would rather eat low carb, than stuff my freaking face with the high carb stuff. Rather be smaller in size, healthier, feeling so damn good. With this huge smile on my face. [censored] looking different.
Hah. I saw this and immediately thought of ketchup. And then I wondered, since ketchup is made of tomatoes, but doesn't sound anything like the word tomato, what would butchup be made of? It would have to be low-carb, naturellement, but what would it be made of? And what would it be served on?

It all means eat less and exercise more. Seriously.
We can go on forever about the benefits of certain foods, about the benefits of exercise, and we can listen to people complain about how they're not gettting results on this or that diet.
The bottom line will always be that you have to burn more calories than you take in to lose weight. Low-carb diets are an excellent way of doing that, but you can't cheat or look for loopholes if you want to lose weight.
There's no "diet cop" keeping track of what you do. We all have to learn the science and then make the decisions.
Hey, what do we have here? "butchup"?? A female version of JC Toll Breath, just what we need!!!!
When someone is claiming they ate [censored] and regained because of "peer pressure" they need to be told to butch up. Being too lazy to provide your own alternatives when you're eating with others is not peer pressure. I'm sure nobody said, "You have to eat this pizza, crust and all, and these potato chips, or you can't watch the game with us."

Obviously your self-confidence is high, you don’t cave to peer pressure and you can use the reward of a thinner frame to overcome the ridicule of others along the way. That’s a great quality to have and probably the key to your own weight management. Unfortunately not as easy for the author of this original thread whom claimed his diet failure was a result of peer pressure.

his diet failure was a result of weakness. he needs to suck it up.

My confidence is not high all the time. I do not cave to peer pressure at all. I do not use it as a excuse. I have many keys to weight management.
The OP needs to butch up. Maybe he can tell us what it is he would like to hear? That would make it easier.

So, if we suggest how to overcome peer pressure, maybe he will take the advice? Or just find another excuse?

Taking pills is not natural. Eating healthy and losing weight is. That is what most of us in this group prefer to do - so take your carbblocker somewhere else - we don't need it. Talk about fake foods!!! Bye now! Diane "Joe" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

So, Jamie your definition of butch up is: take the responsibility of your own actions instead of blaming peers. Sounds good to me. And of course eat less and exercise more is worn-out by Troll Breath. In a previous post somebody said it means stop whining and making excuses why they ain't losing. So it basically means cut the [censored], right? I am still rather new at this, and I have learned a lot from you guys. Please bear with me. I promise to [censored] up...oops I meant butch up. Faye
