Well, I bought a new scale, a digital one instead of the
eyeballing of hatch-marks. My Taylor scale is so pitiful
that I wonder why they bother to even make them for they are
horribly inaccurate. Taylor reads 129lbs but my new Royal
digital scale reads 135lbs. It even gives it in kilograms.
I feel good with my weight at 135 lbs and have decided to
keep it around 130 to 135lbs or approx 61kg. I can remember
61kg for it is a prime number and it was 61 kg where my
weight was at during the 1990s. I did a lot more running in
the 1990s than now. Now I mostly work on trees, plantings
and mowing and building projects which involve lifting
rather than running.
I decided also to resume eating icecream and pastries. Only
instead of unlimited eating of these I decided to have just
one piece per day and to limit the amount to about 150
calories. Because many fruit juices are 150 calories per
glass and a typical icecream bar is 200-300 calories. Thus I
cut in half a ice cream bar and that is my daily limit if I
eat an icecream. RiceDream makes a icecream without milk and
is rice and very good but I have to cut it in half so it is
about 150 calories.
I resume eating desserts, only I find out their calories and
divide it into pieces where I never get more than 150
calories per dessert.
Another thing is that the bulk of my eating rests around
puffed cereals such as Kaishi puffed or Quaker puffed rice
and wheat which is only 90 calories per serving and I use
Carnation instant dry nonfat milk powder. But I have found
Silk which is a soybean drink that looks and tastes somewhat
like milk. So I blend into a bowl some Carnation and Silk to
give the liquid more of a rich taste.
I find that to maintain dieting means never buying a lot at
the store. Because it is defeating to buy alot of good food
for the temptation is only a refrigerator away. I used to
have a freezer also, but my dieting has caused me to unplug
the freezer. The less tempting of food I have around me, the
more faithful I can be to the diet program.
