  1. Ranking for Last 5.8 Km of ITT--Top 14 Finishers

    Ullrich
    Landis +5"
    Vino +7"
    Armstrong +12"
    Popovych +12"
    Hincapie +13"
    Basso +16"
    Evans +18"
    Karpets +18"
    Moreau +18"
    Leipheimer +19"
    Mancebo +21"
    Julich +29"
    Sastre +53"

  2. Interesting stat. I wonder if LA lost so much time due to the fact he did not
use a solid disk wheel which have a real advantage on this flat part of the
    course.

Watching the interviews on OLN, Lance indicated that Johann told him
he'd already won and should take it conservatively to the finish. I
suspect, if it had been necessary, he would have finished a bit earlier.
OLN estimated his finishing time to be about :40 that it was based on
the time check at the top of the climb, and that's apparently when Lance
was told he had it in the bag already.

I know that some people here know the significance of that 12 secs but I'm
not going to say anything about it.
