Hi all,
I am interested in a fairing for my Rans V2. The two to choose from
seem to be ZZip and Mueller. Anyone have any preferences or input in
general for fairings?
Thanks.

Hi gerry.Thought you were going to get a SWB.Any who,I have a V2 with
a Mueller wind wrap fairing. Never owned a zipper fairing but from
reading others posts the Zips seem to be thinner and more noisy than
the thicker Mueller.I would go with the mueller

Just got a new Mueller for my TE. Replaces one that's only two years
old. Much, much quieter. Better protection. My two cents worth....

I haven't noticed any noise problem with my Zzipper fairing. From a
brief read through their website, I guess USS bikes like my Vanguard
may get a thicker Lexan, .08 vs. .06, because the fairing doesn't have
handlebars to lie on (though it does have its own support strut.)
It appears that this thicker Lexan may be available for other LWB
configurations, at little or no extra cost. I don't know if noise
is really a problem with the Zzipper fairings anyway, but my point is
that they do have thicker fairings, if you don't mind the weight.
Mounting hardware is likely the biggest practical difference between
Zzipper and Mueller, and the winner probably depends on your exact
bike configuration and usage patterns. I know I hate mine! but the
issues are all different for a V2.
