Yes, that's right, this is the first-generation off-road pedal set. Purchased in 1991. In terms of spring action, this is probably the best off road pedal shimano has made. both the front and back have springs, so it's easy to go in toe first or heel first, and the tension can be custom set depending on the rider and application. The pedals have seen lots of use, but the springs and catches are in great shape and the bearings were freshly overhauled, so these babies have years of use ahead of them. I have two sets, so check my other auctions for the other set.
