THis is the classic, comfortable lightweight saddle by Avocet. From
the generation before the anti-numbnuts design. For those into
classics, this saddle was seen on Team Motorola bikes in the early
90's--I think Andy Hampsten won at Alpe d'Huez riding this model and
Lance won the World's on it as well. This design is both more
comfortable and better looking than its newer brothers. It has some
shape similarities to the Selle Italia Flite, but with a bit more
padding in the rear. This particular model is used. Enough to break it
in for more comfortable riding. Blue avocet logos on the sides of hte
nose are starting to wear off. There is also a small cut on the back
right next to the blue avocet logo on the right side (your butt won't
touch it, so it won't wear further). Small compression wrinkles are
starting to appear in the leather on the flanks mid-saddle. All in
all, a great saddle and one you are going to have a hella time finding
anywhere else. It's a pity Avocet stopped making it.
