I am selling a rare Casati M:U2 frame/fork and headset S/N 3095 with a
53cm top tube. The frame is labeled 51cm but it's sloping geometry
compels using the top tube length to properly determine size. This
super lightweight frame is made from Dedacciai U2 "Third Metal" tubing
of varying shapes according to Casati special order. Construction
using Casati's flawless patented invisible welding and the Euro paint
make it aesthetically extraordinary.
Casati is a small Italian frame builder manufacturing only a few
hundred frames per year. They have been making high-end frames for
decades. This is an opportunity to own one of the few brought to the
U.S.A.
This frame is "signed" by Gianni Casati
on the top tube and painted pearl with black lettering and a
color-changing purple/brown paint highlighting the seat cluster,
bottombracket and headtube areas. This bike was lightly ridden and the
only paint damage is from tire rub on right chain stay and from the
front derailleur clamp on seat tube. It comes with a carbon fiber
fork-carbon steerer and legs-painted in matching colors with a clear
window showing carbon weave. Fork has 1-1/8" steerer and hidden
headset. Campagnolo Record hidden headset included. I am asking $750,
