Going to test a Cannondale F800 SL tonight. But it's over my original budget. Used to have Merida frame which I really liked and understand the Cannondale is a step above that. Wondering if it's worth the extra cash and can't find any 2005 spec reviews. Anyone got any points of view?🙁

With a cannondale you are paying for "[censored] factor" (the brand). Cannondales are good bikes but you can definitely buy a bike with better components on it if you are going to spend that kind of money.

I get the point about '[censored] factor' & 'fashion victim' but I tried it last night and the frame was sooo tight. Yeah some of the bits lacked a bit but they can be replaced over time. Got a pretty good local dealer who says he'll cover it for 2 years aswell. Looks like I'm going to be a '[censored]' - but a happy one!

I am a bike expert by trade and
there is no doubt that Cannondales are a far better bike than the Diamondback.
Cannondale's have far better build quality, provide a nicer ride, are generally lighter than Diamondbacks and have a far better [censored] factor!
Those that think that the Diamondback is a better buy obviously haven't ridden a Cannondale yet!
