Expansion Plug Stuck in Fork

I got the TCR Carbon fork installed (kind of) this
afternoon; Except for one thing. The expansion plug Ring is
stuck big time in the fork tube. I was going to remove the
compression piece as I was only "test fitting" and then I
noticed the concave shaped piece that expands the
compression plug fell to the bottom of the fork, and the
piece that binds to the expansion ring of the fork tube was
stuck! At first I tried using a screwdriver to turn and
lift up simultaneously, at first it was working, and then
it dug in a little more so I stopped.

Does any one have a "home made" tool idea to pull this damn
thing out?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Find a lube spray that is not injurious to the resin (no, I
don't know of one), squirt it down into the tube, turn the
bike over, and poke and shake until the parts come out.
Otherwise, leave the stuff in the bottom of the tube and get
a replacement to employ for the actual task.
