With all these sprinters shooting blanks these days, what we need to speed up the interviews with the Media, and to standardize the moans and [censored] that the likes of McWhiner are spewing out is a formally approved ~Excuse List~
Something like:
(1) I couldn't get on a wheel;
(2) My lead out man firked up;
(3) I got boxed in;
(4) There were too many ~no hoper~ wankerz in the way
(5) Petacchi has to be on somethin';
(6) etc.; etc.;
Then McWhiner, and others of his ilk, could just ride by the Press Corps and shout ''Numer 3 today mate.''

Why not? Just about everyone involved in any sport on a national or international level who deals with the press has a list of cliches ready to recite when asked.
Usually two lists--one (like that above) to explain failure, the other for success.
