  1. Hi,
    can anyone recommend a decent bike for a 130kg rider, I'll use it to commute
    to work and use it for fitness (bikepath, road). No rough tracks or anything
    (at least not untill I get down to 100kg 😉.

    I've looked at Giant Sedona DX and LearSport Cruiser 800 which has Alex
    X2100 double wall alloy rims.

    I hope that there is something out there that can carry my weight ...if not
    .... I guess I'll just have to lose 30kg before getting on a bike ... huh ...

    Any MTB with hi-pressure tyres, say 1.75" should suffice. I run fatter
    because I cross a number of high spots.

    I would also recommend sticker to simpler gears 3 x 6 to reduce axle
    problems.
