now that the spring is here with all its' glorious pollen, ever single time i go out for a ride, long or short, i'm hawking loogies about every 10-15 secs. beside being incredibly annoying, it takes my focus away from the road and from my technique. does this happen to anyone else? is it only for the allergic? what to do...
I'm a chronic hayfever sufferer. This year my nasal passages haven't been quite so blocked and I haven't had to keep blowing my nose that much. But my eyes itch badly. One particular year I had such a bad time of it that the stress of the allergy caused my wisdom tooth to suddenly start growing again and I had real problems. Apparently the best way to reduce hayfever symptoms is to alter your diet during the season as well as take anti-histamines. Even then you're supposed to avoid trees and shrubs which is pretty hard to do on a bike in the country.
