Anyone living outside France has to go through officially nominated tour companies. In 2006, these companies were allocated about 2500 places. If you live in France, there's an entry form in Velo Magazine.

There's an article in Cycling Weekly at the moment about the course. I had a quick flick through at lunchtime today and I recall the quote being something like "this year's course will be hard enough just to finish, let alone to do well in". Sounds good 😄 .
