I was wondering if anyone has ridden in or heard anything about the Estes Cycling Challenge. Its a 4 day stage race, including a 3 mile time trial at the beginning. Its my first stage race, and I plan on entering Cat. 4. If someone has ridden in it, how was it? Any tips on training for it?

but aren't they all!
The biggest problem I had was the altitude adjustment. I was fine for the road race but almost blacked out during the TT. I actually went to an oxygen bar afterwards to try to get some help. Unfortunately, the next day was even tougher and I couldn't breathe. If 7000ft elevation doesn't bother you, than just do a lot of hill intervals, but if you live in a low level altitude like me, you might consider staying home. It is almost impossible to keep up with people who live and race above 5000 ft day in and day out.
If you should go, it's a unbelievably beautiful area, plan an extra day and go north on the main road out of town into Colorado State Park. Good luck!
