  1. Escape from Alcatraz Qualifier; Florida: So I look at the results from
last year to see if I have any chance at getting one of the two Escape
slots offered in my AG. And I wonder...Hmmmm. Two and a half months
after IMFL. I will be in decent condition. And then I wonder, what is
up--is this qualfier brutal? Why are the transitions so long? Why are
the bike splits so long? Whay are the run paces so slow? Is the swim
    uphill?

Do any of you guys know anything about this race?

  2. Know nothing from experience. The TV coverage shows a long run uphill to
get from the water to T1 and the bike course is rather rolling so slow by
comparison to many. Yeah, the swim is uphill through cold water, chop in
your face and current. Should be several here that have first hand
    experience.
