  1. Is the erd of a MA-3 close enough to the MA-2 to use the same spokes?

From Rinard's spoke calculator on Sheldon Brown's web site at URL:
    sheldonbrown.comspocalc.xls ERD = 613.0 0.0 700C 622 Mavic MA2 (ERD is Mavic's
    spoke support dia + 3mm for nipples) ERD = 607.0 0.0 700C 622 Mavic MA3

It looks like the spokes from a MA2 wheel would be too long for a MA3 wheel. Why don't you replace
your "tired" MA2 with new MA2?

    Nope-MA-3 is 608mm and MA-2 is 612mm-

  4. If you are replacing rims, why not go with new spokes as well?

If the ERD is different enough to need new spokes or, unless they're bad spokes, their's no
    need. FAQ.
