  1. People may remember the 7/24 event I ran last year - Jon Senior will
remember it particularly, since he took part. We're now looking for
participants for this year's event. Official announcement as follows:

Entries are now open for this year's 7/24 - the challenge to ride all
seven 7stanes centres in 24 hours. The event will start at 11am on
Saturday 17th June at Glen Trool visitor centre and finish at Glentress
forest at 11am on Sunday 18th June. The event is for relay teams of up
to four cyclists of any age. The route is approximately 300Km in total,
of which approximately 100Km are off road.

The event will be limited to twenty teams on a first come, first served
basis; the entry fee is £40 for teams who get their entry form in by 1st
May, £60 for entries received after 1st May. Entries will close on 10th
June - you will not be able to enter on the line.

What you will get for your money is route sheets, completion certificates
(provided you complete in 24 hours), and some sort of baton. We aren't
providing any food, drink, first aid cover, breakdown cover,
accommodation or anything else: teams must be self sufficient.

Draft rules for this year are here:
    <URL:http://www.stewartry-wheelers.org/wheelerswiki/jsp/Wiki?SevenTwentyFourRules>

These rules are subject to change, but final rules will be published by
10th June; the main area of probable change is that unicycles may be
banned on road stages (they will be allowed on off-road stages if I can
    possibly manage it).
