  1. Hello,

For my sport ( fighting ) I heard that the best resting hear rate is around 50, because, the amature fights are less then 15 minutes and you need explosive power.

I have heard if you go too far under a resting heart rate of 50, you lose explosive Power.

And I have heard if you have resting heart rate far above 50, you haven't got enough endurance to fight.

How can I get via cycling a resting heart rate of 50, my resting heart rate is now 65. And become more explosive?

I have a bike, hometrainer and heart rate monitor. Also the last 2 years I bike to other towns on average 2 times a week.

    Thanks in advance.

Now I wouldn't wanna tell you this face to face 🙂, but that stuff about resting HR is all BS. Your HR has absolutely no bearing on your explosive power. Fit individuals (endurance athletes) generally have lower resting pulse and that's all there's to it. Mine is 45, so based on that how high do you think I can jump? 😉
