Has anyone here ever run the race? Please post your experiences! From what I understand, it's a
sprint into the stairwell, switchovers at the 20th and 65th floors, and then a run halfway around
the outdoor terrace to the finish. I'm trying to figure out how long the flat sections are, to get
a feel for how much time they'll add on.
I haven't run it and am interested in hearing first person stories too.
Dont' forget that the stairways also have a horizontal distance component, perhaps as much or more
than the landings. The question remains an interesting one: if you know your time on, say, the
stairmaster, for a height equal to the Empire State Building, what pace should you figure for the
horizontal component?
