  1. Wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

Got an Elite turbo which is used frequently. It's Natahn's favourite way to
warm up before an event and in winter months especially, he'll often use it
indoors when it's awful weather outside.

What has happened is that the metal roller the wheel sits on has worn away
quite a lot. Elite say there's no way this can happen and we've *obviously*
mis-used and abused the roller. Which is gobshite.

    Cheers, helen s

    Hi Helen,

Can you say more about where the wear is? Where tyre contacts roller? Does
    seem strange..

yes, it's where the tyre contacts the roller. The surface is gradually being
worn away from the metal roller. The surface was originally an opaque
finish, now, where the tyre contacts the roller it has been worn smooth,
shiny and there's a distinct dip where the surface here is lower than the
    rest of the roller.

I had one a few years ago. It took a few hundred miles for a round
groove to appear on the roller. I never use it now (very boring). I am
surprised Elite are saying this is a consequence of abuse because this
seemed be natural consequence of the hot tyre spinning the metal roller
over time. As the groove got deeper the tyres shredded even quicker
    too.
    Sean.
