I think you need to be more specific in your question. First, what Trek frame, now, is the standard frame? There can be a whole host of differences. Not counting component differences, there can be geometry differences, material differences, weight differences, stiffness differences, stability differences. It's up to the individual rider to decide if any of those differences is significant to him or her.
