I'm flying over for the nationals at Eildon in March and would like to know what the climate is like at that time of the year and what the track is like?? I need to start making some decisions about what set-up I will need on my bike (e.g. tyres) and what cycling clothing I will need to bring, so any comments would be greatly appreciated :p .

March? Mild.
I hope this helps. Although there would be less sand about than Perth surrounds I'ld figure.

March in Victoria can be anything. You're just as likely to encounter snow as you are bush fires (or anything in between).
More likely to be warm to hot but be prepared for anything.
Good thing is that the beaureau of meteorology is pretty good these days so you should be able to get a decent forecast a week out.
Sorry, I know that's not much help.
