Anyone else Edinburgh-based get grief from the operators of this
vehicle (reg ?S42 DWC)? Googling reveals the company is based in
Bradford, oddly and the phone number on the back of the van bears this
    out (01274 745225).

OK, I realise this is a bit old but I passed said van today and the reg
    is W42DWC.

Thanks for that. For the record I haven't seen this vehicle since my
    original post,
thankfully. According to the RAC check site the vehice is a Volkswagen LT
    35 TDI,
which (looking at images on t'interweb) is about right for the van in
    question.

I saw that van today, parked in a driveway in Greenhill Gardens. A lot of
drivers seem to get incredibly impatient with cyclists in that stretch of
town - I've seen it happen to others, and it's happened to me. Usually it
involves overtaking on that very tight right-hand corner in Greenhill or
cutting in when they realise three into two doesn't go.
