Just bought and fitted an echo w1. I cannot get it to work. There is power in the main unit...the clock is telling the time. I have a front wheel transmitter and its aligned OK with the wheel magnet. The alignment between the transmitter and the main unit is what I am concerned about. Its as good as I can get it. There is some obstruction from brake pads and cables. How significant is this? How can I test the transmitter works at all?
Does anyone else have any experience of using these machines and fitting of them?? Any help would be appreciated.

Remove the cyclometer from its bracket and hold it close to the spinning wheel. If it still doesn't register, then you know it's the transmitter (either dead battery or more likely just not close enough to the magnet).
