  1. Ah, a short holiday with the cycles on the roads when there are even
    better cycle paths and cars on the cycle paths - "oh look at this nice
    road I've found, it's deserted...". Well, except for me, gesticulating
    wildly at him.

    Must be the Germans.

    Where did you stay?
    We were there for a week last July.
    A poster in another group says the area is taken over by the Germans in
    the Summer, his commute takes twice as long with all the .de registered
    cars on the road.
    Maybe OTT a bit, but some Germans do like it there.

    The clue is in the email address :-)

    Yes, it's very popular with the Germans, I suppose it's the nearest coast
    for some of them.

    On Friday, one of them drove all the way over the 6km long Zeelandbrug
    (bridge) on the cyclepath. Surely he must have noticed the "road" was only
    about 2 metres wide...
