Assuming it's like my AXA HR:
The red bit should come out of the dynamo body with a bit of prising with a screwdriver etc..
You then poke the stripped end of the wires trough the holes, fold them back against the little
plastic 'pegs' and then push it back into the terminals in the dynamo. The bit that is missing
sounds like the lid. Mine seems to have lost it bit still works fine, I think it mostly just keeps a
bit of crud out. I might stick a blob of sealant in this winter.
one pair of holes is for the live and one for earth (there are two holes too run two cables if
necessary for front and rear lamps)
You should see markers on each side on the plastic to show which is the live pair and which the
earth,. It's doesn't matter which way round they go, but you want one wire from the cable in one of
the holes of each pair.

Hard to say without knowing the lamp or a piccie.. The screw might just be to hold the body together
say. Often lights can be wired with a frame as the earth ands just one cable to the lamp (though I
prefer a dual; cable.)
I have a couple AXA lamps I think that the ere are two small spade terminals inside for the cable
attachments.
