I bought a few sets and tried then out... and they are really, really
quite good. I normally use Gore Ride On cables but they don't seem to
be available any more. They are as good if not better than the Ride
Ons.
A few nice things.
The teflon cable sheath has one end "heat set", so it gets trapped
between the ferrule and the cable housing. That makes it so much
easier to get a proper installation.
The cable itself is not teflon wrapped. That was a problem on the Ride
On cables as it would fray and cause poor/unreliable shifting.
The teflon cable sheath seems much stronger than the Ride On sheath.
The package comes with a razor blade ( needed to cut the sheath to
length before clamping in the derailleur.
I didn't need ANY fine tuning after installation. A sure sign that the
system is pretty friction free.
